The insurer made payouts for 32 children who were diagnosed with a serious illness, with the most common reason being cancer. While it is horrible to imagine this happening to your family, the payouts can provide vital support during distressing times.
Some protection policies include cover for your child, offering you financial assistance if they were diagnosed with a specific illness or suffered a certain injury. In other cases, you would need to purchase this as an add-on. It is therefore important to check your policy terms, so you know when you would be covered.
